I am pleased to welcome you to the main page of the Department of Basic Medical Sciences, College of Medicine, Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University, which considered as one of the largest department in the college and includes many sections:

Those subjects are delivered to students in a modern and integrated curriculum where those basic medical sciences in the second and third year are linked to clinical cases to prepare students for the clinical life. In addition, the department is trying to prepare students for international qualification exam e.g. (USMLE step 1) to ensure the quality of the educational process and to compare the output of the college from time to another.
In addition to teaching, faculty members are active in scientific research and they have published many papers in respected international journals and that has enabled them to get scientific research awards at the university level.
The department has many laboratories that are equipped with the latest technology and modern tools of teaching and the labs are updated regularly. The department also teaches some courses like Human Anatomy, Histology and Physiology to other medical related colleges such as the College of Dentistry and the College of Pharmacy.
