Definition of internship year:
It is the mandatory period of twelve months for a student who successfully completed the prescribed graduation requirements of clinical training.
This period is considered an integral part of studying medicine, and the student is not considered qualified to practice medicine until after he successfully completes this period.
Internship Year Objectives:
- Development and application of medical information through clinical training.
- Training the intern doctor on independence at work and the ability to make decisions and deal with professional competence
- Training the intern doctor on consistency in the work system within the medical team, knowing the limits of his capabilities and capabilities, and training him to seek advice from those who are more experienced than him.
- Familiarize the doctor with the correct method of dealing with the patient and his family.
- Training the doctor on communication skills, presentation skills and some administrative skills.
- Apply the ethics of the Muslim doctor in all his work and abide by it.
