The College of Medicine at Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University has paid great attention to scientific research, and it was from the beginning in the focus of its attention in line with the content of the university’s mission “Delivering distinct education, developing ground-breaking research…”. The College also affirmed its quest to achieve that message through its strategic objectives, among which was the goal of completing the establishment of the infrastructure for graduate studies and scientific research.
In this context, the College of Medicine has adopted many policies and procedures that support the development of scientific research and its outputs and encourage faculty members to conduct solid scientific research that meets the highest standards and conditions of good scientific research on the one hand, and that serves the university and society on the other hand, and this is reflected in the quality and quantity of research published in recent years.
The Scientific Research Unit performs the following main tasks:
- Providing an attractive environment and encouraging the movement of scientific research
- Building an annual database for the scientific production of faculty members and their equivalents in the college.
- Organizing symposia and seminars in the field of scientific research.
